I'm growing moss in both my home and office tanks, with very different results. my office tank is showing spectacular growth while my home tank is much slower, although still growing.

I believe the crucial factor is temperature. my office tank is pure moss only. No other plants and only 3 fish. no fertilisation, no co2 and moderate light. grows like wild grass man. due to constant aircon, maintaining at sub 25 degrees.

suggest you install a fan to cool your tank. should bring to 26-27. that should help.
    Cheers

In my exp (however short) moss is not so demanding on CO2 and light as plants such as riccia or glosso. I installed fans to keep my tank's temp between 26 and 27C. my Taiwan moss hasn't been growing like grass, but can see growth in the last 3 months. [:] heard when temp too high >28C, moss may not thrive.

Does X'mas moss prefer low light rather then high light ? cos I saw those X'mas moss tank outside are quite dark n they tend to grow better in those low light condition. Around what light wattage would X'mas moss prefer ? cos I maybe goin to setup one tank with only X'mas moss. Thank.
