    Hi all,
Thought I'd share a few quick pics of BIT Majitam, taken during water change.

Although the monsoon season was brief, I believe there's enough fry and sub-adults to raise for the next season's breeders. When time permits, I'll sort these out and to play it safe , release some groups of fry for sale.

I know the pics aren't the best and there were a fair bit of suspended particles in the photo tank but time was a constraint. For those interested, there are some unedited pics in the album here.

Some will say that the colors are the result of flash techniques but heh, with a P&S, there's not much room to play. What I can say is that, if you have a tank that receives sunlight, these colors are what you'll see.

    Enjoy!

    Hi all,
Yesterday, I decided to transfer my sub-adult Majitams into a better growout setup and at the same time, do a water change but I was enjoying myself so much, that little actual work was done.

    Here's why...

These showy fellas are the off-springs of the 1st featured adult Majitam and will be my next generation of breeders. Enjoy!!!

Great Job! These guys are looking good.

Did the 'Muyuka Police Station' end up not making it for you guys? I've gotten to the point to where so far I've promised a young pair to 2 people and still may sell/trade out some others.

    Hi Joseph,
The last of the 'Muyuka Police Station' was a male and despite having quarantined their breeding tank for some 3 months, I think, nothing came out of it. Sad to say I lost them completely.

Believe I mentioned this before, here and at DKA, but when you're overwhelmed by these fellas, you'd know who to call (ditto for the Mundemba, if these are still around).

    Dear all,
The Majitam off-springs matured nicely and now have their own dedicated tank. Although there was a male-skewed ratio, I did manage to distribute quite a few pairs and my fish-count stands at 13M:3F. Wanting to test my luck during the warmer weather, I have one pair is in a separate breeding tank (permanent setup; no mop, just plenty of moss).

Quick pics of the males (color is slightly off due to tannic acids)
