a wild import from Nigeria, what is it?

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

    Hallo.

Just a wild guess, looks like some epiplatys from the singa-group, maybe Epiplatys grahami.

    Check this site out: http://www.killifish.f9.co.uk/Killif.../E.grahami.htm

It looks very pale, maybe the lines/color will be seen later on.

Good luck and keep us informed, maybe more pictures later.

Froo, you're the third person to suggest that so I'm pretty sure that's the right ID. I am down to this last specimens, of the four I received. The rest appeared to have been attacked by a Aplocheilus lineatus which is surprising as I'm sure they don't fit through its mouth. Fact is I am missing three specimens and no crispies anywhere.

I'm hoping it will colour up in a small planted tank. It is being fed dried daphnia powder and occasional tubifex.
