Dear All,

Wondering if anyone here in this forum is into CRS crystal red shrimps too. I just got a pair of CRS from a friend in Japan. Can anyone give me some comments? I would like to know what grade are they consider as.

Hi Tong,
only a few members here are really into CRS. I don't belong to them, although I kept and bred them for a few years.

Yours are probably grade B. The white strips are quite thin and the color is not that solid. For further information you can take a look into my web site (http://www.shrimpnow.com), there is an article in the library about grading CRS and there is also a whole subforum about CRS.

Grade B is nice enough, but I am ambitious to get Grade As. What are the price difference? How much are Grade B and Grade A selling? Do you still keep CRS?

I have no idea on pricing for these CRS but I think there is an active community discussing about them on AquaticQuotient I think. Robert's site at shrimpnow.com has a vibrant community as well.

I've seen some going for exorbitant prices, from Grade A upwards. The more intense the white colour is, seems to be an indicator of the grade of the shrimp.

For cost reasons alone, I am staying far far away from owning a CRS, at least for now.

10 Grade A
10 Grade S
3 Hinos.

When did you started your CRs keeping?
