Hi, I have acquired some eggs (two bags that totaled 60eggs but I did not count) that were reportedly collected early June. They are in my tank for close to 2 months now. Eggs that I can see now have become very well eyed-up for at least 2-3 weeks. The one foot tank is half filled, well planted, well air-circulated, dark, and cool at around 23 deg C for most of the time.

Read information that water incubation might take up to 6 months etc...
Anyone might have experence on this to share? Like should I keep the tank warmer etc.? Thanks!

    Wing Yu,

You can try force-hatching some of the eyed-up eggs and if it works, do the same for all the other eggs. Read this to find out how to force-hatch. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Do a major water change with cool water. Does the trick with egg bound Aphyosemions and Nothos.

Just an update on the status in case someone is interested.
I did a major water change end of Aug. Nothing happened.

I was really busy and left the whole thing alone until last week when I checked briefly and found a couple of fries in real bad conditions. Guess they have been there for a week or so. No luck in saving them. Found no eggs and no new fries since then. Water incubation time for them is thus 3-3.5 months under my conditions.

I did the fries wrong and I am really sorry...
