Polish mosses

Hi,
I was asking you to id my mosses in this thread.
Now I don't want you to id my mosses, but I'd like to show you what I have found in my country Those mosses are id by our Polish briologist (I don't know how to name it in english, it's the scientist, who is studying mosses). So....

The first moss is Fontinalis antyperitica var gigantea. It is not easy moss. If something is wrong, the leaves momently look like burned. They're getting small and stick to stalk(?). This moss I like the most Some photos:







Second moss is also Fontinalis, this time Fontinalis antyperitica var antyperitica. I don't have this moss for a long time, so I can't tell much about it. So maybe I will give photos







Now moss number 3. It's my last Fontinalis. The briologist said, that it's Fontinalis antyperitica var antyperitica too, but it's different from the moss no.3. I'm not a specialist, so I can't argue with him. Let's see this moss:







Moss no.4. I was asking you to ID this moss, but we can't find answer. Our specialist can't find it too. Tho one thing he could say, that this is a moss from Drepanocladus aduncus group.











Another moss from Drepanocladus aduncus group. This moss I thought to be L.riparium but I was wrong.



Next moss from my country. Our specialist wasn't sure, what is it. He's sure, that it's Drepanocladus. But he said, that it has strange cells, and he's not sure. But he said, that it's propably Drepanocladus sendtneri.





And now something I'm proud of. The only liverwort, which i found. It's Pellia endiviifolia. IMHO it's beautiful. Just look:





This is all. Of course in Poland is much more mosses and liverworts, but I show only mine. If you finish reading it I must congratulate, because it is very long But maybe not boring for everyone.
Sorry for my english, I'm still learning. If you don't understand sth ask me, i will try to explain what I wanted to say

Nice pictures of the mosses. It is good that you consulted a bryologist from your home country to help in identifying the mosses. Let's see what our resident No.1 Moss-Man, Mr Loh aka timebomb has to say about your mosses.

That Pellia growth is looking quite good now.

Well, Krzysiek, I must say your mosses are very beautiful. Please do not worry too much about your English. We understand you perfectly.

I'm particularly interested in the liverwort you found, the one you said is Pellia endiviifolia. How can I get a few leaves of this plant from you? Let me know what you would like in exchange? Currently, I have Flame Moss to spare. Or would you prefer something else?

Great post! What beautiful mosses (and great photos, too!). I love the picture of the frond of moss number four. I have a moss that looks somewhat similar to it but it doesn't form such nice, triangular fronds.

The liverwort is interesting, too.

Do you use CO2, any fertilizers, etc.?

Maybe I will show the picture of tank with only polish mosses All this mosses are growing in it. Sorry for quality of photo, the tank is new (about a week), and one of the fluorescent lamp has awful pink colour.



It's 112L (about 24,5 gallons) tank. The filtration is aqua clear 200. Light is 2x T8 18W. I use Co2, and fertilizers. The water is cool, about 20*C(68*F).

Hello Krzysiek,

I do not know anything about the Polish language, but I learnt that greeting after seeing clips of Borat, the fictional Kazakh newsreporter. He keeps on saying Jagshemash, so I checked it on Google and yes, it is based on a Polish greeting. :P

Nice tank you got there. It seems you have a plan in mind and I'll be happy to see how this tank turns out in the next few weeks, once the mosses have started to grow like wildfire.
