    These are some of the fishes I bought from a LFS today, don't know the name of the pencils though. The Oto is a zebra.

    spike, the first fish is Nannostomus sp. "Red". there's a new scientific name for it but i can't remember it now. how much did u get it for?
    the 2nd fish is not a pencilfish. it's a headstander. either Anostomus or one of the Leporinus characins. might get just a little to big.
    and yes, the last is a zebra oto. how much did u pay for it?

    wow! how much did you pay for the red pencil? only discovered couple years back, this is the first time I hear availability in Singapore. luckily I no longer keep pencils [:]

    the second fish very good bba eater , bought 2 few days ago. tested very good worker! very cute red lips but damn x.

    This is not a pencil fish. It's a Anostomus Garmani and grow up to 18 cm long. Needs soft water and plenty of space. Preferably, in a shoal of 8 or more to make them feel comfortable and show their color (Orange tint on fins and tails). Use to see this fish for S$2.50 each but don't seem too common these days.
