    Hi from Canada..

Have over the last while picked up 3 pairs of Killies from the Local Club Auctions. The first pair was more a side note / why not try something new style purchase. I mean who can turn down a lovely pair of Fundulopanchax mirabilis moensis for less then I spend on a coffee.

Here is the male from that pair, ignore the Platy in the background.

By the time the next meeting rolled around I was already hooked and purchased two pairs of Orange Australes. Again here is one of the two males.

I still need to move some fish around so they have thier own spaces as the Moensis are in with a two Platties and a pair of Common Bristlenoses. and the Australes are in with some Molly fry that are getting on to an inch, and three 3/4" Albino Ancistrus.

I am planning to move the Mollies and Platties in next day or so. My question would be should I concern myself with moving the Ancistrus from the tanks aswell or should they be fine? The Moensis are in a 10 Gal well Planted and the Australes are in a 20 Gal thatthe Plants are clippings that have really started to take off but not what I would call "established" plants yet.

Welcome to forum, Zoban (so what's your name?)
Looks like you're gonna have fun and yeah, the Ancistrus will do ok with the AUS and GAR. (Nice moensis!)

BTW, I hope you didn't hear that killie-keeping can be addictive... urm, theraputic??

Thanks for the comments and reassurance on the Ancistrus.

Real name is Ivan, out of habits from old when I played Everquest and other online games I got used to being called Zoban as it was always the name of my main character and thus the name I used on all but the Techie boards. A couple friends that also Played EQ in the local area used to call me Zoban out of game too even at the coffee shop or Bar. Kaazz (his character name) still does.

    Ivan,
Half the fun in killie-keeping is breeding them and if you want to try it, go rig up a spawning mop (instructions from the main site). I won't be surprised to hear about you picking eggs, a good way to start distributing/trading/exchanging for new killie species.

BTW, I'm neither gamer nor punter but more likely to respond to a name than a moniker. Nonetheless, I hope you'll enjoy your visits here and do look up past threads for they hold a treasure chest of goodies.
