    Hi, all

I live in Texas and I found this moss when hiking. The place was very warm.

This is the place I found it:

This the submerged form 12 days after I collect it.

If this is a new moss I gonna call it " Texas moss".

    Thank you.

If by "new", you meant "new to the planted-tank hobby", then it could be possible you got yourself a new moss But it's highly unlikely the moss is new to science In all likelihood, the moss you found has already been studied and described long ago. It could even be possible the moss already has a common name.

Only way to find out is to send a sample to me and I'll show it to the professor.

I'm not sure, but it is probably moss from genus Platyhypnidium (P. riparioides?).This genus is widely distributed at many countries north from equator (but not only). It is the semiaquatic moss.
    P. riparioides is common in Poland too .
Is this moss good for aquarium, or isn't - you can say after three-four months. After this time we wait for photos .
