Jonna,
I think what you have is Taxiphyllum barbieri but I can't be certain. If you can show us a picture of the leaves with a higher magnification, it would be a big help.

Hello everybody! I'm new to the forum and I wasn't sure if it's OK to continue someone elses topic with your own identification problems, so I made a new topic.
I got this moss with some plants I bought from a fellow aquarist and now when it has started to spread in the tank I became interested in what species my moss is.
Here are some pictures of the moss, also one taken with a microscope. I apologize that my webpages are only in finnish (so far), but isn't it so that a picture says more than a thousand words?![]()

Loh K L,
I added a picture to my website with more magnification (the first one is with 4 x objective and the new one is with 10 x objective). This is the best I can do, pictures with more magnification do not fit the screen of our camera.

Jonna,
I'm pretty certain yours is Taxiphyllum barbieri. I can make out a faint impression of the cells in your picture. They look long and narrow to me. The shape of the leaves is also long and slender. If you compare them with pictures of the T. barbieri as shown in this article, you will come to the same conclusion.

Hi!
I´m here again with a moss I bought. This moss was sold to me as a 'Mini-Moss' and I am curious to ascertain the identity of the moss. I have placed some microscopical pictures of the moss here.

Jonna,
I took a long look at your pictures but I'm afraid I can't tell what moss it is. For one thing, I couldn't see any double-costa on the leaves. It could be there's no double-costa or that your pictures aren't clear enough.
Either way, I have to tell you that officially, we don't know what's "Mini-Moss". It seems the Mini-Moss name has been haphazardly given to various mosses.
For all you know, what you bought could be "Vesicularia dubyana" or "Taxiphyllum alternans".
