I am getting a breeding pair of these as a gift from killiekeith and i would like to know if the will eat my RCS shrimp.

These are going into my 5.5 gallon in son's room. It's a planted low light tank with Red cherry shrimp.

My experience is that all small shrimp periodically become welcome fish food. They are particularly soft and delicious when they molt.

If you have rocks with lots of holes and crevasses, some will probably survive. Reproduction may be slow or none, as the larval shrimp will be just as tasty as bbs.

Killifish are addictive William, but try not to go too fast into them.

As for your query about the striatum and RCS, given a chance, the RCS shrimplets will become nice snacks for the striatum adults. Killies generally like to nip at smaller critters, even fish smaller than them.

From personal experience, I had a male A. striatum once who kept harassing my Boraras in my main 3 foot tank, so RCS are definitely snack-size for them.
    Fish.. Simply Irresistable
    Back to Killies... slowly.
