3ft PL light??

hi, i have heard alot of pple here having 2ft and 4ft tank. i intend to get a 3ft tank specially for aquatic plant. my question is: is there 3ft PL light? is it very difficult to obtain? how many watt do i need for 3watt per gallon requirement? wat wattage does PL light usually come with? any experience brothers here can share? thanks alot

My 3 ft is using four 36W PL = 144W toto. Nature Aquarium sells them in 2x36W fixtures, which just fit the 3 ft length. ONly thing you need to find a place for the external ballast which is quite heavy. Can't remember how much - but I think better long term investment compared to FL tubes.

SPSP, the 2ft pl light that u heard people using comes in single tube n double tube in each light casing. The double ones houses the pl bulbs side by side in 1 light casing.

The 4ft ones houses 2 pl light bulb but there's a bit of space between each bulbs that the e-ballast can be placed there.

For the 3ft however, both ends of the bulbs does touch each other n there's hardly space for the e-ballast 2 be placed at but at the external of the light casing.

If u are not sure, just go down 2 have a look at Nature Aquarium.
