It shouldnt go bad, maybe weaken only.![]()
Ok, I know this really is a stupid question, but just to be on the 'safe' side, can a bottle of Florish Excel go bad? I have an 8 month old half-used bottle of Excel I just 'rediscovered'. 2 things concern me: 1) Bottle wasn't closed tightly 2) there is this brownish/ redish residue around the opening and 'shoulder' of the bottle. The content liquid is still transparent in color so is it safe to assume it hasn't been chemically altered though exposed to air?
Thanks in advanced.
ZANE.

I would suggest asking Seachem directly. If you are not aware, Seachem has a support forum for their products, http://www.seachem.com/support/forums/index.php
Oh cool! Thanks Quixotic! No, I never knew any fish product company had support!
Put it into a shot glass and take a sip. (Ok I could not resist saying that)
I put my Excel in the fridge, together with all my other dosing things.
Please tell us your findings if Excel indeed goes "bad"
