my experiment - cherry shrimp is in this tank with black sand the color looks deep red (ie sakura), but when i put her into another tank without any black sand (ie glass bottom) the color fades to normal red within a day. is this normal of sakuras?

Not sure about black sand, but if you eventually mean for black soil, color fade can be due to the different pH between the 2 tanks, different pH will either enhance or weaken the color. Another reason can be due to stress after the shifting, the color will fade within minutes until it fully adapt the new environment. And to answer your question, yes this is normal
