E.tenellus comes to mind. It is easy to grow too.
Hi all
I need help on choosing a foreground plant based on the following parameters:
1. Lighting: 2.4 wpg
2. EI fert
3. Pretty fast flowing water
4. "blends" into blyxa japonica midground
My lighting was orginally at 3+ wpg but I am remvoving some tubes for my turtle tank. Since lighting has dropped, I am thinking of switching to an easy to grow foreground plant. Any suggestions are welcome!![]()

koah fong
Juggler's tanks
are you injecting CO2?
You can try moss, hair grass
sword type grass as both shadow/jug have indicated will do just fine in your setup.
yup, CO2 is used. I will try out the sword type grass. Cheers.
any type of marsilea sp will make it
if it's for a larger tank, what about stargrass, heteranthera zosterifolia? grows low given sufficient light and co2.
i would recommend hairgrass. easy to grow, yet not as invasive as e. tennelus
does anyone know where I can buy these plants. I am staying around serangoon north area.
hair grass very easy to get. Most of LFS that selling plant have it.
light to low, HC will grow tall instead of creeping
Oooo...stargrass seems exotic...marsilea too
Can't make up my mind lol, will go to colorful and seaview to have a look![]()
normal hairgrass, e. tenellus!![]()
I decided to try out e. tennelus. If it starts to grow in, maybe i'll add some blockers.
