Happens to me too. Two things.
First, turn off the filter and hold the output hose upright. Do you see bubbles floating up the hose? If yes, let the bubbles float all the way up to the end of the hose and restart the filter. If this works, it'll only be temporary. I think 22XX series has a seal problem.
Remember the tube of vaseline that came with the filter? Use it. Open the filter, apply the vaseline on the rubber seal, close the filter, prime and turn on the filter. This solution should last months.
If you can, make sure the output hose does not have any bends that can trap bubbles. It's when air leaks into the filter and create a pocket at the output tap that causes the problem. Also make sure the outlet is below the water surface.
