Hey all, this is my first big tank that I had to scape, it is my father in law's. Enjoy!

Its 60 inches in lenght, 19 inches in height and 18 inches in width. Temp is 26 degrees constant. Lighting about 75 watts. No co2.
Has been running for about a month, no algae. Water change twice a week, 30 percent.

I cannot wait to see this will grow. It looks really nice like this. I have always been a fan of the separated look. The discus is a nice touch.

If the wood can arrange pointing in circular angle(such as 20° 40° 60°, etc...) instead of one fix angle would be great, currently the direction looks more 2D than 3D, beside this if the pebble moss can be organize abit will be perfect. Just a suggestion. Anyway great job. Now looking forward how it going to revolve later stage.

Thanks! As I only visit this tank once a week, it had to be low tech, easy for me to maintain too!

Nice Discus planted tank bro !

Maybe can ask your father in law get a few more Discus, think their colors complement the planted tank very well

    A pleasant setup overall

Its not the discus.. when the tank only had the discus and neon tetras, the neons were together. But when the other fishes were added, they stopped schooling.

Will the angel fish chase after the tetra?

Good choice of fish and layout making the tank look big. Like to see it when mature.

    I have a similar 5' x 2' x 20" (LXWXH) tank and it looks small in comparison.

So far, nope. The angel only hangs out with the discus.

From my observations, tetras dun school together only when they are other more aggressive medium sized fishes that keep cutting into their path. I dun know how true is this though.
