wow, nice growth and certainly doesn't look like play play.
surprise that you are adding Easy Life EasyCarbon eventhough you are having pressurised CO2, any reason?
You tried keeping any shrimps? Found this source quoting Easy life ProFito is shrimp safe (but it actually contains copper). http://www.easylife.nl/english/index.html?id=40
I just set up a tank similar to yours, same tank dimensions and using HOF, also using HC as main plant, hope can get results like yours.

What I gather is EasyCarbon or Excel helps to manage algae problem. I have mostly GDA and GSA initially and EasyCarbon seem to help after dosing for 1 week.

I guess you more or less shot down the impression that hang on filter causes Co2 loss....well maybe you are still losing CO2 this way, but obviously not enough to cause any problem.......I am thinking of using a hang on filter (with a surface skimmer function) as a surface skimmer, but worried about CO2 loss. Looks like a potential to me now.

There will be CO2 loss for sure but surface agitation is also important for gas exchange of O2. Plants need CO2 and O2 as well.

It is actually the camera. First 3 were taken with my nokia camera phone, next was from nikon point-and-shot and last was from nikon DSLR.

Yes it is a boyu SP-6001 220L/H pump or power head. I use it to do water circulation as well as CO2 distribution.

You are right, the rocks are too low and I got to trim the HC every week to prevent they from growing over the rocks.

Dry start for HC is much easier than submerge. It took me about 6 months of reading before telling my mind to go ahead. Informations in AQ forum are very useful and it help me alot.

Not sure whether I can do that since my rocks were buried deep into the soil.
