MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! TIME TO LAY BACK AND RELAX!
A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With A Single Step
Blue33 is right. Add something like Seachem Flourish. In this case, I will go with more Iron. My girlfriend planted tank had this about a week ago. I dosed Iron - API Leaf Zone. Iron and Potassium.

Is that suppose to be glosso? look prety bad. Before jump to the conclusion, what is your substrate? how is your dossing regime (Macro and micro)? CO2 level? light? tank size?
wild guess: lack of N
I'm not sure whether that's glosso... very newbie in this area..
so far have not added much fertiliser.. thinking of getting Seachem Florish..
No CO2 tank yet.. currently using those CO2 pills that look like panadol.. will add a CO2 tank soon
tank is a 1feet tank.
i have now changed to a PL light 11 Watt.
and just an update: the plants seem to get greener and healthier now.. though I'm not sure what solved the problem. the major changes i made are that i have off the airpump, and changed to a PL light 11 Watt.
Your plant is HC. It is most likely dying because there isn't enough light for it. Try less demanding plants for a start.
Consider DIY CO2 if you are not able to get a pressurized system. It is much better than "pills", IMO.

Thanks for the advise. I am planning to get a CO2 tank, likely sometime next week.![]()
Thanks for sharing... I face the same problem too.![]()
HC isn't not an easy plant, especailly not for newbie. I myself fail twice before get it right. The secret in my case (not sure if it work for other people as well) is plenty of CO2 way above 30ppm and lots of light will help them convert from emerse to submerse. By the way most of the plant bought from LFS is grown emerse (hydroponic style, leaves not under the water)
By the way CO2 tablet is waste of money, in my personal opinion![]()
Just an update
The plant is growing much better new and has ever since became greener.
I have also added a CO2 tank + Seachem Florish![]()
your plants surely recovered fast
yes, but now i have a new problem... hair algae and spot algae!!![]()
is your tank relatively new? I was attacked by BBA initially but now water condition has improved and tank matured those also gone.
u can treat them with Seachem Excel
yes it's a new tank around 1 month old.
i just added in lots of malayan shrimp to see whether they help to clear the hair algaes![]()
malayans are no use against BBAs
luckily the tank did not have BBAs yet.. so far only hair algaes![]()
