If you are going for moss, ferns and nana, then I think you could do away with nutrients, but if you cannot resist, then you need more then just Flourish, which contain mainly trace elements, you need to dose NPK to balance out. For a start , I would suggest going for an all in one nutrient, like Tetra's plantamin, or Sera's Florena, or Lushgro's Aqua. My advise is try to stay away from Seachem's Potassium, Nitrogen and Phosphates unless you know exactly what you are doing.

However, if you do decided to go with nutrients, then you have to dose Co2 inorder for the plants to use the nutrients

I'm much more familiar with land plants than I'm with aquatic flora so kindly bear with me. My premise is that the fish droppings will provide the basic fertiliser (also a good way to keep clean water for the fauna) while added trace elements provide the growth boost. The bottom line is the efficient removal of nitrates and nice plants as a byproduct

Yes I will take your advice and refrain from adding NPK unless I'm adding CO2. Thanks! The last thing I want is dead fish! (Although the ghost shrimp can go )

Oh I mean rhizoids Hmm... I'm quite sure its not cabombas. Its reddish green with red rhizoids. Thanks will try to post a picture
