    never had any of my hornworts shooting roots...... maybe you mean cabombas.... hehehe anyway had mailed you and maybe can hand you over some hornworts too...

    I'm much more familiar with land plants than I'm with aquatic flora so kindly bear with me. My premise is that the fish droppings will provide the basic fertiliser (also a good way to keep clean water for the fauna) while added trace elements provide the growth boost. The bottom line is the efficient removal of nitrates and nice plants as a byproduct

    Yes I will take your advice and refrain from adding NPK unless I'm adding CO2. Thanks! The last thing I want is dead fish! (Although the ghost shrimp can go )

    Oh I mean rhizoids Hmm... I'm quite sure its not cabombas. Its reddish green with red rhizoids. Thanks will try to post a picture
