    hi guys, wanting to add some magic soil bit by bit into my apistograma fries raising tank to reduce pH.. i know ada soil release ammonia.. but does magic soil release? i don't attempt to add in alot.. maybe juts 50g per day till about 1 - 2 kg is filled in.. with a pH test kit of course.

    Why don't you just use peat? I'm using magicsoil and so far there's no ammonia spike in any way.

    peat stains water, i hate tea colour water.. since so, i'll get a kg from colourful.. slowly add a cup a day.. shoudn't be a problem.

    Will peat moss work? It does not stains as much as peat.
