Good to be back here after a 2 year hiatus. After a year, I think it's safe to say I've settled into my new home. Now in the midst of planning for my new planted tank.
This new planted tank is to be mostly Java Ferns and Peacock moss. Low light and no CO2 of course.
Anyone knows of good sites that talk about layout, especially in Amano's style. Apparently he did hold a course for goods distributors this year. Sadly, no one from Singapore went. But what I took from there is that there are some rules (like the golden ratio) he uses and would like to read more about it before designing the layout.
The layout for this tank is somewhat more challenging as the dimensions are unique, 96X34X50 as it's built into my tank cupboard. Will start a blog and insert some pictures.
So in short, any good reading on tank layouts and if anyone has seen tanks that have been designed very nicely with purely java ferns, please do leave a link here. Help is much appreciated! So far I've only dug up one such layout in The Natural Aquarium by Yoshin & Kobayashi. But it's an old book, my guess is windelov, which is something I'll use, wasn't out then.
