I've eaten those crabs in Bangkok(somewhere along the highway to the airport). They were cooked in a coconut based gravy and very salty. Heard they are caught in the padi fields by the farmers.

Yuck! I can almost taste the crab based on your description. I wonder how they cook those small fishes that they caught, those fishes caught earlier by them were already dead when I returned to the location and were emitting a foul smell already inside the pot.
