Onyx Grey Sand

Hi,

I bought and used Onyx Sand (Grey) because I wanted it to enhance the color of my shrimps. However, when it is used with my T5HO light, the sand color became very pale.

What type of light should I used to preserve the color of the original Onyx Grey because I realised that the pale sand color also caused my cherries to look pale.

My background is already black. BTW, are there pinkish lights for T5 - my light housing is for T5. Also, what compromise will it have on my plants, if any?
