    I have a pair!
Picked these up for a good price. Lights are off tonight, but will post some photos tomorrow when they are settle in. They are F1.
Here is a photo taken in the LFS, he is stressed of course, and the female is behind him. He also has a torn pectoral fin, but that will heal.

Mickthefish took this photo, so thanks for that, your camera is far better than mine! haha

Please excuse the glass, as i say this is in the LFS not my house!

You mean Allan Brown are the breeder that owns the fish shop, thats cool as Singapore LFS dont breed fish to sell, not to mention macrostoma.

Allan Brown is the breeder, also the discoverer of Betta brownorum. Quite famous in the anabantoid world.

    Re: Betta Macrostoma

    Settling in quite OK.
Male has quite a lot of colouring up to do, but with time that will follow.

I was lucky enough to be able to watch the tank at the shop for a few hours, this male protected this female, and so far no fighting.

They are in an 18 inch cube.
The substrate is leaf litter, mix of ketapang and oak leaves.
Filter is a simple internal filter.
The plants are a mixture of crypts i got from work. I have no idea what they are..
Will take a full tank shot soon

Are they fine with the current generate from the internal filter as your tank is rather small?I use to put in sponge filter or hang over filter.

    Re: Betta Macrostoma

The current is actually subdued by a peice of sponge. I was going to use a sponge filter, but think internal filter will help with water quality....however frequent water changes can of course never be a bad thing.
I also have a larger tank on standby if need be
