The eggs are probably eaten by the parents or other fishes. If you have pebbles in the tank, some of the eggs may have survived. The fries are very. very tiny. Make the smallest tick with a pencil and it is probably that size. I first spotted the fries in the bucket during a water change. Or look very closely at the sides of the aquarium.

You would need a turkey baster (a very large eye dropper that is used to suck up the gravy to moisten the turkey or other meat during roasting or used in labs) to suck up the fries. I got mine at Pantry Magic at Chip Bee Gardens; about $10.

Good thing is once they start, they keep going. If you don't want to put them in a separate tank, put in some marbles. I thought of putting the marbles in a tray (the sort that Ferraro Roche comes in) so that it would be easier to lift the whole thing with the eggs in it but did not bother. You might want to try it.

I did manage to raise a small number out of a couple of batches after sucking th fries up with the baster until I got bored.

I had a male and two females but according to the site provided by derekchia, they are monogamous. Don't know if that is true but it seems like at least once a month, one of the females (cannot tell them apart, the (or at least my) male is yellowish so the male can be identified) is gravid with eggs. Then I spot the fries on the glass. Could be more often. Don't have them for a while now so not so sure.

I didn't have problems with the plants as mine is not very densely planted.
