Hi gabrie,
think the spots that you saw are dark green in colour... These are known as Green Spot Algae (or GSA in short) & they are very common to be found on slow growing plants like Nana... These are usually caused by prolonged duration of too-strong light on such plants - so you wish to reduce the photo-period or the intensity of the lights...
Personally, my Nanas also used to have these GSAs growing on them, found it much easier to simply snip off the leaves [if your Nana plants have enough remaining leaves to continue photosynthesis after that] with the spots then to try & remove the spots... If water conditions are right, the Nana will sprout new leaves very soon...
Do try to spot if there are similar dark green spots (No Pun intended here...) on the inner surface of your tank as they like to grow here also... If have, simply used a plastic card to scrape them off the surface... Horned nerite are supposedly to add in ridding of such GSAs also which you may think of getting to put into your tank....
Hope the above helps...
