    A very handsome fish youhave there. Looks very young--perhaps only 2 months old. The caudal fish should develop very attractive extensions. I'm very impressed with the dark blue colour. My USA aquarium strain is more torquiose than blue.

    Toss some mops in the tank and see if you get some eggs. You can try some long fibre peat as well. If you find eggs on the mops, leave them in water for a few days with some methylene blue before laying them ontop of peat. If the eggs fungus your water is either too warm (and thus has too little oxygen), to hard and alkaline or the male is too young to produce sperm to fertilize the eggs but from my experience it is more a problem of water quality than age.
