Hello from Romania!

Hello guys !
My name is Dan and i live in a not so rich in good aquaristic products country ...oh yeah...."beautiful" Romania(it's actualy beautiful). I'm 21 and i "play" with aquariums since 14.
I've had lots of species (from the banal vivipars to african cichlids and so) but only one i loved.... Barbus tetrazona. They were amazing.
But all those passed and i began to have less time for my tanks so started to get closer to shrimps. Unfortunately in Romania("beautiful" one) i can't find what i want.... CRS... . We have around here only Red Cherry...some Amano...and the rest of them...very hard to find and veeery expensive(around 10$ for a Red Nose for example). In the short run i wanna buy from a firm(sunbeam aquarium from Singapore) some shrimps and start a little "farm" here... maybe we'll get lucky and produce for our community the most wanted shrimps.

So... today i haved updated from the HangOn filter from Aquatic Nature to an external one...Eheim 2213. I'll be running both for couple of weeks until the external one "fills" with bacterias. I haved lowered the canisters output because it creates disturbing currents for my shrimps. I hope i can find on ebay(cuz here it's imposible) some glassware for inlet and outlet. I love how they look. Anyhow... this is my tank... please excuse the quality of the photo and also the mess around the tank!! I'll do better next time... i promise .

Hello Dan.

Its a pity that you cant get crs shrimps, but I am pretty sure you can find natives shrimps in Romania. I live in Spain an its easy to find Aterypha demarestii. They often live in the roots sumerged of clump of grasses(cynodon dactylon). But it difficult to see it, because they are transparent.

Hi there. I assure you...it's nothing out here that i can use. Altought we live in Europe...our countries have diferent climate. Eventualy i get to manage my self...ebay is very helpfull sometimes...
