    Is a PH Controller necessary for a planted tank? Can anyone please advice. Thanks in advance[]

    Nope. It's an optional luxury accessory.

    As long as you maintain your KH, and CO2 levels consistently, there should not be any major fluctuations to your pH level. If you have to top up your CO2 tank, do it within a day and before the tank completely runs out. When you change tank water, make sure you reset your KH levels.
