Is there a need for heater?

• Do we really need a heater and thermometer for a fish tank. What about a fan? I am just having gouramis, catfish, corys and two swordtail fishes. Intending to buy all three if its a must.

you do not really need any of those if you are just keeping normal fish that does not reqiured any special condition to life in.. it all depends on what you are keeping.. and where you are placing your tank.. like if u placing your tank our door and ur fish need cool water, then get a fan or a chiller, or if you from a cold country, then get a heater to keep the water from freezing and keeping it at a stable temperature for fish..
