riccia need more maintenance and are very messy but it pearl and bubble easily . moss are less maintainance but you need to manually suck out the dirt and they don't pearl or bubble compare to riccia.

PH is steady at 6.5 test on a weekly basics.
I got the same CO2 checker. The brand should be dymax. Think no matter how you increase your CO2, the colour of the indicator will still be yellow. Following the instruction given does not help.

You need a reference solution with a known KH. Usually, a 4dKH solution is used so that when the reagent turned to green. However, I do not think the checker provide such solution. I find it very troublesome to diy the 4dKH and totally abandon the checker.

You can try to do a search in this forum and you should find some help to make the CO2 checker work correctly.

Thanks! Those were from seaview.... Got them really small... 50 for $20... on my last count I have 48 pcs... wonder what happen to the 2 pcs... what you see in the pix is about a month back now even bigger and nicer too thanks to the Sera fishtamin... What big plants are you refering too??
The one directly behind the driftwood. Think it is too big for a 2ft tank, in term of height and size.
