    Dear all,

Can give me some advice? I bought one from C328, but the light adapter gives off offensive odour after a while. Plastic heating up.

    Regards,
    Anthony

you could maybe use a Boyu 1.5ft PL 24W Fixture instead of a clip on?
Also less than 3 red notes

It will definitely fit your 1ft tank, but may be a bit too much light.

That probably because the ballast heating up the plastic. It should be ok, but after a while the plastic become brittle. Try to get the one that have the ballast inside the metal light chasing.

it depen on what plant you have in your tank, but you can't change the light bulb to higher wattage.

5w light ? for a 1.5feet shrimp tank, a 11-13w light will do just fine.

If you want the riccia to grow well, 24w should be good.

The Dymax 1ft that NA is selling should also be good.

nothing is too much, sun light is much brighter It just that higher lighting more difficult to control algae, though with EI (Estimate Index) I found it to be not true.
