    hello guys,

I am new to shrimp tank. Just set up the tank a month ago. I bought 5 pregnant sakuras from C328 last week. Today while regular WC i came across these egg type things stuck on all the four corners of my tank. Need to know whether these are shrimp eggs?? or are they snail eggs (attached is snail for your reference)?? if shrimp eggs, then shall i leave them there?? when will they hatch???
Appreciate the expert comments on this. thanks!!

Thanks flybaits. But i just noticed that one out of 5 pregnant shrimps is molting (in process) lying like a dead shrimp. i dont see any eggs on ehr. there is slight movement in some of her legs but is unable to get out of old shell.

maybe she dropped her eggs, then it is bye bye to babies . sakura shrimps do not lay eggs, for babies born - miniature shrimps will come out.

the pics you show on the tank glass is confirmed snail eggs. don't worry. as beetroot mentioned sakuras gives birth to miniatures.

maybe she already spawned.... or maybe... but the eggs are not hers....
i m no expert but have had a bit of experience with shrimps and these snail eggs before.

    cheers!!

Check your filter. My wife's shrimps were sucked into the filter, we had to take them out slowly. Hope that helps as I know nothing about shrimps except that they keep me entertained.

told you.... about which type of multiply slowly, snails i don't know much bro. but suggest you pick them up manually to throw/giveaway and feed lesser if you do not want them to over multiply.

    cheers!

Catch and crush the snails for a nice "meal" for your fishes and shrimps.

ramshorn breeds real fast. i used to breed them in a 1.5ft tank for my puffers. from 10 ramshorns multiply to hundreds over within a very short time.

i agree.. looks like ramshorn snail eggs to me.. sakuras give birth to baby shrimplets, and even if the female dropped her eggs, it wouldn't be in a cluster like in your pics.
