What happen to this fish?

Hi all,

I have a few encounters of my guppies having a swollen area at the bottom. All died after a few days.

I have managed to capture a picture of this and can someone help me to identify what happen to it and any cure?



BTW, all the fish that had this problem happened to be the female guppies.

I would think that it is a case of Aeromonas infection... Generally stress makes the fish susceptible to this bacterial disease... stress could be due to changes in water conditions, insufficient tank space, presence of territoral fishes, etc.

Perhaps you can try tetracycline to cure the diseased fishes.
