Cheers,
Hi,
I am an old member, but I still wish to formally introduce myself. Please pardon me for not introducing myself from the very begining of my joining-in to the forum. I was so shy and such an oblivious newbie back then.
Anyway, my name is Michael, aka 'Mikhail', a Filipino guy working/living here in Singapore for more than 7 years already.
I've been with the aquatic hobby since 2005, the same year I silently joined AQ. I started with show bettas back then for I was attracted to them. Later on, my interest progressed to planted tanks after discovering the many good aquascapes in this site. I have a 2ft planted tank which I initially started on as a high tech setup due to my fascination of the glossostigma sp and as time goes on, the tank slowly evolved to low tech / non-CO2 setup which i am currently maintaining up to now. I had ventured also to marine setup not so long ago in a nano scale. However, I wasn't able to keep up with the regular maintenance because of my busy work schedules. Thus, I have no choice but to had it decommissioned. Now, I am bouncing back again to the hobby and starting on Apistogramma - slowly taking my time to learn about this genus. I recently acquired a few juveniles from a fellow hobbyist and so far I am enjoying their development towards maturity.
AquaticQuotient has been my only source of reliable information ever since I started. I did not have any experience in maintaining aquarium back then in the Philippines. Through the constant exchange of information in this forum, I learned so many valuable things regarding this hobby and up to now I am still learning from all of you bros/sis.
More power to AquaticQuotient and see you around in the forum!

You're not alone!

Thanks celticfish for your comment. Yeah, agree with you on the shadows thing - been lurkingaround since 2005. Those caves are good for tieing moss especially the one gotten from you
.
Thanks Wackytpt. Right now, I am keeping 5 Apistogramma agassizii "Netz" juveniles from bro Illumnae. You can refer to my "Images" for photos of my current tank / fishes. I am very new to apisto... I'm still learning. So far, so good!
Keeping them are fun.
Apistogramma agassizii are an easy species to breed.
Have fun with them.
Cheers
Nicholas
