    Hi folks,

Has been ages since I last browse here. I am looking to buy a new chiller. Any recommendation? For my 2 ft tank (80 Liters). Not keen to use fan.

    Thanks

Arctica and Teco are the brand to look into.

I have both brands, but on my two foot tank was using the Teco as it sucks air from the bottom and expels it out the back. the picture below show Teco TR10 and Eheim 2028 in 2ft Setup, it was very cramp and only made it because the stand legs were not inside the tanks footprint.

    Hi

What's the HP for your Teco? How much and where can I buy? I have one very old Teco RA200 bought in 1995 from Aquatechnic very reliable but do not like the suction from bottom, dust accummulate easily and hard to clean.

Looks like the new Teco are white color only? and is comes with UV steriliser right?

Pardon my many ? long time not in touch with equipments.

I have forgotten the HP of the TR10, it was the middle of the range, there is an option of a UV steriliser, but did not take this up as is added to the cost quite a bit if I remember correctly.

The colour is grey and there is no problem with cleaning, except in my configuration requires the filter to be right next to chiller, preventing the bottom sliding panel opening. The trick with small set ups is to get all the components to fit, and with a small tank the adjustable taps allows the water flow to be reduced.

I got my chiller in Hong Kong so do not know the local costs.

    Hi Rupert,

Thank you for your reply. Do you know who else sell Teco chillers besides Aquatechnic?
