A tight lid is a must! They jump! All the time. One managed to squeeze out and became fish crisp. Still have not figured out how it got out since the slid was too small for its head. Anyone else keep these things and have a female to spare or exchange?
Don't you just love the iridescence on these beauties? Here's it displaying with mouth open to another male.
The only flaring picture I can get so far. Quite irritating. Circling with mouth open. Flaring only sometimes with trembling.

wow, that's beautiful, do they come in any other colors? And how can they be housed, simillar to betta splendens I assume, with males not being housed with other males?
You have amazing photography skills, how many tries did it take to get those amazing pics? What camera and setting are you using?
Very nice CK.
Maybe you should try contacting Hermanus Haryantofor a few more, i know he will ship from indonesia and they are lovely specimins.
Also, i must ask, how do you get the perfect dark background from your photos? Is this just showing how good your camera skills are, or do you place some sort of background behind them for photoshoots?

cant believe that--------nice and well done of the shoots
lets deep into the jungle
Beautiful fishes and pics. I had similar experience with wild betta. Even with the lid, they are still able to jump and squeeze through the small gap between the lid and tank.
love that turquoise colour on that particular spot
