Anyone know how do these sulawesi snails breed?
Do I need a male and female one for them to breed?
    Do different species cross breed?
    Any pro,please advise.
    Thanks.

Yes, you need a male and female to breed them. How to tell the difference? (no one knows for sure, but when full grown, females are larger)
Clean water, pH 8-8.5, Temp 26-30 degrees celcius.
Give them food like carrots, apples and sinking pellets and they will do fine.

And no, they don't cross breed despite some claims online it hasn't been proven. : )

I have only one adult yellow tylomenia snail in with several yellow spotted and orange spotted, but I have lots of yellow babies, so either they cross breed, or self-replicate

    Re: Sulawesi Snail

Well, they most definitely do not self replicate. It's probable that your adult tylo is a female which had mated before it had been caught from the wild. As for the coloured variants, there has yet to be literature written to prove this : /

These fellows are really hard to breed! But if you really do succeed, the results will be satisfying All the best and keep us posted about the results!

    I have two.
I am thinking if I should get more for them to breed.
    Any advice?
