And....
don't forget to give some allowance for the hinges at the cabinet door. I couldn't fit my brand new filter into the cabinet as a result of that. Just 2 cm too tight.
Cheers,

Hi all, need some advise fast... I just bought the Eheim 2080 filter (H567 x 330 x 330mm). I intend to custom made a cabinet of W120×D50×H75 for my tank of W120×D50×H50.
Can it fit into the cabinet with enough space for the hoses comfortably without hoses being bent? My experience last time was that I used one 2078 (H534x264x264) and the hoses just barely enough to avoid being bent to pass through the hole at the back of the cabinet. The cabinet I think was about 2.5 ft bought from Nature Aquarium. So, this time, I need to play safe to ensure no mistake to avoid to return to exchange for other filters to fit properly. Should I increase the cabinet height to 85 cm at least but will it look too tall?
Thanks for any advise from anyone especially those who are putting 2080 inside the cabinet!
