Very nice set-up you have.. take note of your co2 tube near the check valve which is bend might greatly reduced the co2 output.

For 1ft. I am using 1ft light set with 2 x 9watt PL. I got it from NA. That the best lightset i can find for 1ft. But please notice that it might be too strong for your 1ft tank. Don't blame me if you got all kind of algae....and the lightset get pretty hot also...

For me you may see. I have put in my full spec i can give to this little 1ft planted tank..

    High rate C02 injection
    Very strong light (2 x 9watt)
Heavy dose of NPK + iron
    Ehiem 2211 filter
    Co2 external disfuser..
    Small fan
Chill by home air-com at 25C from 8pm to 8am

hi..i suggest tilting your fan in an angle which would be better in channeling the hot air away..

No problem! A gentle advise, is better to install check valve after the Co2 output and not after bubble counter. Reason: to prevent water backflow to co2 tank.

    co2 tank-check valve-bubble counter-check valve(optional)-reactor-main tank

Nice fishes. It is definately a Parosphromenus sp. in my opinon but exactly which species I am not sure, maybe you can refer to this website and let us know? What is your water parameters (i.e. pH, gH, kH, etc)?
