Bettas from the waseri complex
Possibly, or possible Betta anabatoides cf. 'Tangkilan'.
Thats what they came in as, but im not so sure, they have distinct black markings on the chin, the male is huge (3.5 inches), and the female (i guess, lacking anal fin extension and tail extension, slightly shallower mouth) is about 1.5 inches.
Does anyone have photos to share of this species? Im finding it very hard to identify and the fish i bought are not in such good shape, i am letting them settle and feed for a few days before i bother to photograph them, but they are something from the waseri complex i believe.
I will try to get some photos up soon, but any other AQ members with waseri group photos, or even large anabatoides?
James
