Brett,
Let us know when you are coming and I'm sure some kind soul will be happy to point you in the right direction with your shopping list and perhaps even work out an itinerary for you to save time.
Cheers,

I am hoping this is the right area, I keep reading posts that have I payed $1 less than a red note or 3 purple notes etc. Could someone please post which is which, like $10= a purple note or something like that?
This would be greatly appreciated so my trip to your land of aquariums and merlions makes a bit more sense. I cant buy fish but I WILL be buying some bits and pieces that customs will let me bring home for sure.
Thanks for your help and understanding.
Brett

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Thanks benny, I have to tell you this forum has a lot of friendly and helpful people, some forums I have joined are a bit nasty. I will be in your country in sep/oct. I have been there before but was not into fish then, it was also 1998 and for me SE Asia was a huge and crazy place and all I wanted to do was go to Orchard road and buy a camera![]()

Well.. put up your list and we'll point out to you what's available and where to get it. But I must warn you that livestock is a No No. A friend got caught 2 years ago trying to bring catfishes back to Australia. Equipment and ferts are not a problem. Plants...... are a major, major risk.

Smuggle is no-no but I think you can declare it and they will quarantine for you. Not sure if you need to pay though. You probably can check Australia custom for better answer.
From NSW.. bring back memoryI hardly see any fish shop 10 years ago when I was there

All people entering Australia will be x-ray and there will be cute little beagles sniffing throught your stuff !

Can't think of any decent camera shops along Orchard Road. Put up a list of everything you need, I am sure someone will be able to guide where you will be able to get them and how to get there.

CK, yalo5t,
Got 1 decent shop in Lucky Plaza, Lords.
Prices reasonable, but look only for Kelvin.

For cameras, you can go to either Sim Lim Square, Funan Centre or Peninsula Plaza... i guess you should be able to get a better price there...

Sorry, but don't go to Sim Lim, especially if you are not local. Many of the shops
are most likely to overcharge.
I know of John 3:16 at Funan, MS Color at Ang Mo Kio, and TK Foto at Shaw Tower,
prices reasonable and very helpful.

Hi Brett,
Actually we do not encourage the coloured notes culture in here. Unfortunately, we miss out a few once in a while.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

I have my camera gear now, I will be looking for things like discus cones and pleco caves etc, things that customs are okay with. We pay very high prices for almost everything here, because most of it gets shipped in from Singapore/Malaysia/China etc. By the time everyone puts their little bit on prices are a bit steep.
I have a 1Tb hard drive for all the photos I will be taking though
Photos dont carry disease!! But I can drool over them for years to come.
