I'm gonna have to say no to your tank cos the loaches will definately up root them.

Nice to see this thread coming alive again. UG is truly a lovely foreground, I managed to get a small clump of it and it is growing really really slowly in my shrimp tank.
Here is a humble pic to share.

Bro Aquasynthesis, i wld have given them to you but i have disposed them when i changed the foreground to HC. U can get them from colourful.

Bro Feide, this plant thrives in tanks with strong water circulation. it made alot of difference when i changed increased it in my tank.

I realised that my HC were melting after a few days also. Quickly supplemented a daily dosage of excel flourish. 3 weeks on now, HC is growing and spreading healthily. Hope it continues this way. Ill post some pics soon.

i presume you are asking "why" do i use excel flourish. its to supplement the water for the hc growth. if its melting, i reckon its lacking in calcium. however though i try excel flourish first. it worked for me at least. im using excel flourish daily now.
Yes Sir...
glad it worked for you. I think I should try your tips. My HC seems melting...not all though. Just a question, whats the size of your tank? how many squirts of Flourish Excel per day?![]()

My tank is 2ft(width)x1.5(ht)x1. I use half a cap daily. However, since Sat i have changed the supplementation to kh plus. it works better.
