Hi guys; just a newbie question 2 ask. Currently i have a manual co2 set (tank + regulator), which I have to turn on & off just about avery day. Does a solenoid is a sort of electric regulator which turn on & off automatically based on a timer? Since I have the basic manual Co2 set, can i just buy the solenoid gauge and attach it the manual set? How much does it cost & where to buy? hopefully can find a 2nd hand one. Phew! Thanx in advance for answering .[]

    Hi guys

I've never used a CO2 system before...it sounds like a complicated system to me with regulator, solenoid, valves etc...Btw, does the tank need periodic refill (just like CO2 fire extinguishers) or does it have a mechanism of extracting CO2 from thin air???

I'm a simple man looking for simple systems...[]

    Mike,
The tank will empty like all gas canisters. When that happens, you need to go for a refill. Systems and control (Bioplast) do provides such a service.

I am using a seloniod with a regulator. All in one! Works really well for me so far! You can find this at the fish shop at henderson near the market. It is called 88 Aquarium. sells for about SGD100+.
