    Hi,

Any bros here with experience using Vermex?
I used it on my shrimp tank, good result so far.
The worms are gone and no side-effects seen on my shrimps yet.

However, my nerite snails, all 6 of them, had sucked their last nerites
    Anyone experienced this?
It might be due to other factors of course but the coincidence is too unnerving.

    Hi Xmant,

    I have only Sakuras.
I used only a drop of Vermex each day for 4 days and stopped when there are no more signs of the worms.
    Additional information:
Last water-change was just before LNY.
    No CO2, lights and fertilisers.
PH is neutral and KH is at 4.

    Hope this helps

How big is your tank may i ask ?
I didn't use vermax but used a dog de-worming pill crushed into powder form with fenbendazole as its active ingredient and my one and only zebra snail died also, I think. After putting the powder i noticed that my snail was moving about less and eventually it just stopped moving and stayed at one place for a few days... so i assumed it died.

Sorry to hear about your loss too vwsj84.
My Sakuras are housed in a 1-foot cube tank.
The one drop dosage is way too low than the recommended dosage.
Anyway, I'll make sure to remove my future nerite snails before applying anymore Vermex.
Hopefully this will be useful for future Vermex users

    Hi Jordi,

It should be safe for plecos.
In the packaging, it states that Vermex is not harmful to fish and other non-target animals.
My guess is since nerite snails are as slimy as the Oligochaete worms, they are unfortunately considered as target animals too.
However, please read my disclaimer and don't take my words for it
