    I bought this as Apistogramma algodon, but looking at some others here i dont think it is, obviously i only got him yesterday so he hasnt coloured up, but i really like the blue.

    any pictures of it flaring? It could possibly be an Algodon II

    Thanks for the time to reply mate,
    I havent any better photos yet, however i have seen him flaring at the "female" which i think is actually just a smaller male. I will try and set some photos up for later.

    I caught him flaring but the photo was too blurred. He has a red line all the way through the top of his dorsal.
    What species is yours, exotic?

    Mine is apistogramma "papagei"..
    Really look alike like yours..
    Maybe same family?
