    Very pleasing scape! Nice!

    Something that bugs me is the top of the left driftwood, looks bare there. Consider adding some moss there as well! Cheers.

    Hmm.. I'll consider some addition to the front. But probably I'm more happy with finer sand.

    The top of the left side wood will probably be added with some moss on small lava rock/slate. I'm aware that it is quite bare and could be better if it touched to surface.

    Here is that side

    Current state update.
    Plants took over the tank from previous state of open spaced setup. Most of the hardscape is now covered. Those riccia forms submersed leaves, dark green, more transparent foliage resembling loose pellia.

    To think that some stray, unseen riccia could start it all (with care given) without any use of net to hold them down.... this quite amaze me.

    The look indeed change and I will need to trim/remove some of the riccia/moss up to the point of visible hardscape.

    Nice matured tank. Did you send in for ADA 09?

    Hi.

    I only use a single DAZS hang-on fan from mizuworld.
    Temperature is maintained at around 27C and turned on along with lighting duration.

    @ruisheng,
    I did submit it to the IAPLC 2009, but at a much premature state.

    Guess what, now the tank is even more overgrown

    He he....

    It took me some the whole evening to assemble the tubes for this custom made light box. Unfortunately one of the T4 on-board ballast gave up even before use and the box ended up having a blank spot (look at the lower right)

    I mounted the light box over my light-crazed tank and burn it up.

    Now I suppose I have sufficient light to grow HC well!

    Hi bro,

    This is super DIY lightbox ... I must admit! The question i like to highlight is when the ballasts get too hot, the box will get hot, too and will gave out alot of heat and increase tank's water temperature, agree?

    Do you add any chiller to it?
    cheers

    @eddy,
    No. No chiller at all.
    Just a single dazs hang-on fan running along with the light.
    And it never ever gets too hot.

    Anyways... long time I didnt update the tank.

    In essence, nothing in the tank is added and it balances itself out.

    The tank has overgrown over and over. Everything grown back after a while of trimming and ripping out.
    This is the current state.

    Enjoy!

    Very nice! Can I know how you are holding up the light box?

    Hi,

    The light box is held up by iron frame, set to be right at the rear sides of the tank, so that it would be less obvious.
    It is just a tad bit wider than the tank, but viewing from the front it is not so easy to notice.

    The only issue that i dun like is cannot see the woods....... but this is a good problem, as plants are growing well.
