Back to the jungle!!!

February 9, 2009. The monsoon rain finally stop since 3 days ago. I'm so happy that I can go back to the jungle again! Below are so shots taken in the limestone hill forest when I was exploring in a hidden valley in Borneo.

Limestone boulders & the green forest.

The limestone cliff is at least 10 metre high. We couldn't reach the summit. Will be back again with ropes.

Limestone hill forest. This limestone hill like a montain range....very long. Not enough time to explore.

We took almost an hour to find a path to the summit, but unfortunately, we could not find it except the tall vertical cliff & walls.

Probably Schismatoglottis wallichii.

Cymbidium bicolor (orchid) fall down from a tree.

Probably Cymbidium finlaysonianum on the limestone wall.

Hi Michael,

A lot of us from Singapore really envy you to have so much nature to explore.

By the way, I heard from my relative in Brunei that the raining 2 weeks ago was so bad that they need to evacuate to high ground..

Yup,last month, a lot of places in Borneo were flooded! Weather is getting crazy....
