Skrang river & nearby places

Skrang river is one of the tributaries of Batang Lupar. It is one of the beautiful rivers in Sarawak. Will be back there oneday to explore the up river.....

A blackwater stream

Fish collecting for our aquarium:

Blyxa sp.

Cryptocoryne longicauda

Cryptocoryne cordata var. zonata (submerged in the water)

Fishes that we collected are kept in a breathable bag (made by condom material).

Bumblebee catfish ( Pseudomystus fuscus )

Leiocassis micropogon (catfish)

Probably Silurichthys phaiosoma (catfish)

Pangio semicincta (loach)

The biodiversity in the river is really something. So many species of fish in there.

Thanks all for viewing. Now, I'm feeling excited to go for another trip...camping in a deserted island this weekend. Besides photographing, I'll hunt for fish too....
